You are invited to audition for dance team!
Here’s everything you need to know…
When:
Sat Oct 2nd 1:00pm - 2:30pm (4-7 year olds)
Sat Oct 2nd 2:30pm- 4:00pm (8-12 year olds)
Sat Oct 2nd 4:00pm - 5:30pm (13-18 year olds)
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in and pick up a number.

Where:
Starlight Dance Studios: 6648 Alhambra Ave, Martinez.
What to Bring/Wear:
Please wear clothes you can move freely in and jazz shoes, ballet shoes or jazz sneakers. Hair must be pulled away from the face. Please bring a water bottle.
What to Expect:
Students will take a short, free dance class together then they will learn a simple dance routine to perform for the staff in small groups. The dance will be easy as the goal is to see how well you perform not how quickly you can memorize. We are not looking for perfection. You do not need to prepare anything for the audition.
What IS DANCE TEAM?:
Dance team members will rehearse for 1.5 hours per week each week, learning and refining several flashy dance numbers to be performed again and again throughout the year, giving students as many opportunities as possible to build skill, technique and confidence. It is our hope that these students will feed into a new dance competition team the following year. We plan to have several teams so please do not be discouraged if you are a beginner, as we will have teams for beginners and advanced students. Each student will receive a team uniform, rhinestoned jacket and sparkly costumes! Teams will rehearse from October through June and will perform from December through July. Team members will be charged a monthly tuition (scholarships available) and charged a one time fee to cover costumes and uniforms. Entrance fees to performance events will occasionally incur extra costs but we try to keep these as low as possible. We are working to make this as affordable as possible for our families and we will have more exact details available soon.
Price:
$85 per month tuition (Oct - Jun)
$120 one time Costume Fee (Includes full 2 in 1 costume and 1 pair tights)
$150 one time Dance Bag Fee (Includes Dance Backpack, Makeup bag with makeup and hair essentials, Water Bottle, Team Jacket, Lanyard, Team Leotard and shorts)
*Additional charges will be required for entrance fees for some events, see below

Black Jazz Shoes for indoor performances,
Black Dance Sneakers for outdoor performances
Tan Tights
