Mini Kids (Ages 4-7) Ensemble Cast
Tuition: $399
Starlight’s youngest performers will play our ensemble members in our kid’s production. This is a great, fun introduction to musical theatre and performing. Everyone gets to perform and everyone gets to wear a special costume!
What to wear to rehearsals: Black jazz shoes and comfortable clothes they can move in (no jeans). Hair pulled up out of face. Please pack a water bottle that does not spill (no Stanleys) that is labeled with name!. (Jazz shoes can be purchased through us on site, or through any dance wear store or on Amazon)
What to wear to Dress rehearsal and performances: We will provide the majority of your costumes.
Boys: please wear black jazz shoes, a tank top or tee and black shorts or pants
Girls: please wear black jazz shoes, a black spaghetti strapped leotard and black shorts, hair in a tight, clean ponytail.
INTRODUCING OUR NEWEST PROGRAM
SATURDAY KIDS AND MINIS ARE NOW ADAPTIVE SENSORY FRIENDLY CASTS!
What does that mean?
All students are welcome in all of our classes, but this class is intentionally designed to provide a calmer, more flexible learning environment. While all of our classes value both growth and performance, this class places greater emphasis on each child's individual progress than on creating a polished final production.
Our instructors receive additional training to support students with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD, other neurodivergent conditions, sensory sensitivities, and physical disabilities. We recognize that every child learns differently and strive to meet students where they are, adapting our teaching to help each performer succeed.
Our final performances include sensory-friendly accommodations such as:
House lights that remain partially on rather than going completely dark.
Reduced sound levels to avoid overwhelming volume.
Additional onstage teacher support for students who need assistance with cues, movement, or lines.
If your child benefits from having a parent, support person, or one-on-one aide present, they are welcome to participate alongside them so your child can have the best possible experience.
Our goal is simple: to make the joy of theatre accessible, welcoming, and inclusive for every child.
