Teen Competition Team (High school)
Rehearse, perform and compete with a competition cut of Come From Away the musical, plus each student will work a solo, duet, dance, or technical competition piece of their choosing, all students in this program are required to attend the Musical Theatre Competitions of America *Please note, this class will perform a competition cut of Come From Away, not the full length show. Additionally, teens have the option of performing in the ensemble of Matilda for free as well.

ORIENTATION
Sat September 9th from 2-4PM * Mandatory attendance for performer and at least one parent.

TUESDAY 6-8:00 2/6* Special rehearsal with Teen Comp and Teen
TECH/DRESS REHEARSALS (Attendance is mandatory)
Sun Feb 4th 12-5pm (Pack a Peanut - Free Snack)
**Once we have dates for the two local competitions we may add rehearsals on Mon or Sun before those comps
PERFORMANCES / COMPETITIONS (Attendance is mandatory)
Musical Theatre Competitions of America in Southern California Feb 8th - 12th
Showcase Performance: Saturday March 16th (Times TBA but please plan that it will take all day including rehearsal and performance)
Two local competitions within a 2 hour drive of the studio. Please keep all three of the following weekeds available for now:

*Please note, tuition does not include the price of tickets to the performance, which are sold separately
Festival Fees: Approx $2300*Students in both Teen and Teen Comp only pay this once
What is included in travel fees?
Your flights, hotel, competition entry fees, 1 solo fee for competition, transportation to and from the hotel/airport, Knotts Berry Farm ticket, Disneyland ticket, most of your meals, competition tee shirt. (does not include team jacket which is required if you do not already own one, it is the same as the dance team jacket)
What to wear to rehearsals: Black jazz shoes and comfortable clothes they can move in (no jeans). Hair pulled up out of face. Please pack a water bottle. (Jazz shoes can be purchased through us on site, or through any dance wear store or on Amazon)
What to wear to performances: We will provide the majority of your costumes. Students costumes will vary but performers will be required to wear black jazz shoes and hair pulled up into clean ponytails. Dependent upon the costume student will probably be asked to wear their own black pants or leggings or tights.
