Starlight Teachers will come teach classes in your school! Now offering daytime and after school programs for pre-schools, elementary and middle schools. Looking for something specially tailored to your school? We’d love to help!
WHAT WE DO
We are very excited about offering classes at your child's school! We can’t wait to reach out and dance with more families in our community with our STARLIGHT SCHOOL PROGRAM offering a mobile arts education that comes to you! Our amazing staff members have been an active part of teaching children dance and gymnastics for more than 20 years.
We partner with your school. Every student gets a free trial class, then we will send a flier home with each student encouraging parents to sign up. Sign up within a week of the free trial class and we will even waive the registration fee! We bring the music, props, mats, parachutes, wands, ribbons and anything else we need to make class magical and age - appropriate for your group. Once signed up, we will coordinate with the staff at the school to get all the registered students into a clear and empty space so we can safely teach them.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUR SCHOOL
Consent from a school administrator to set up a class and distribute fliers.
A clear, indoor, space empty of obstructions so that children can safely dance. Smooth floors are ideal but we can absolutely work with carpet as well.
If students are young enough to need assistance in the restroom we ask that a teacher is available to assist those students so our dance instructor can focus on the class.
WHAT CLASSES DO WE OFFER?
Currently we offer classes for 18 months and up. We will work together with your school to create a package that works best for your student body, we are happy to tailor our classes to your needs. Two or three styles can be combined. Here’s a list of the types of classes we offer:

PUT ON A MUSICAL
We put on several full musicals per year at our studio and we would love to help you create a show at your school too! We handle the costumes, rights, scripts, music, programs, tickets and everything you need. We even provide the theater! This season we are offering Annie Kids in the Fall, Snow White in the Winter and a few more exciting shows coming up after that! WHEN DO CLASSES MEET?
We will work to match our schedule to your school’s calendar and observe any school closures and all federal holidays. Classes will meet 1x per week either during the school day (pre-schools) or as an after school program (elementary schools). We can set up classes to run for 30 - 90 minutes dependent upon age and school preference.
HOW DO PAYMENTS WORK?
We take payments on a semester based program (1 payment covers Sep - Dec and re-enroll for 1 payment to cover Jan - May). All registrations are done exclusively online through this website. We do not accept cash or check and we do not offer refunds. Each school has a different pricing system dependent upon how long the class is, what percentage the school is taking of the tuition and whether they provide staffing to assist the class. MASKS AND SAFETY
We take your child’s safety very seriously and we also respect the fact that every school will have their own safety measures in place. We will follow your school’s lead on whatever policies they have in place for masks and safety. We will NEVER tell a student to take a mask off.
WHAT TO WEAR
We do not require specific dance wear as this is a fun, introductory class (though you are more than welcome to wear your leotard, tights etc if you like!) Students will be asked to wear clothes they can move freely in (we love leggings!) and at the beginning of each class they will take their shoes off to allow them to dance and tumble in bare feet or socks depending on the space.
PERFORMANCES
DANCE/GYM/CHEERLEADING
We will offer a small end of the year mini performance for Preschool Programs the last day of class at your child’s school.
MUSICAL THEATRE
We will work with your school to set up options. If your school elects to do a class that is working on scenes and songs we will work with you to do a small scale performance, if your school chooses to put on a full musical then we will organize a full scale production with lights, costumes, sounds etc. *Please note, tuition does not include the price of tickets to the performance, which are sold separately
