Presenting our SHOWSTOPPER COMPETITION TEAM!! We are so excited to add this to our offerings to to our families. Here’s how it will work. For three days over the Thanksgiving Break followed by two brush up rehearsals before competition, students will rehearse and perform 1 BIG showstopper number to be performed at MTCA. Jaimee and Shelby will choose the number after seeing who signs up for the camp. The choice will be age and skill appropriate based upon who comprises the team. Please understand that this will be a fast paced intensive with high expectations. Performers will be given homework and asked to work very hard. All performers will be provided the material to memorize a few days prior to the first day of class. Most performers will be dancing, singing ensemble members while a handful of vocal solos will be handed out based upon skill and fit for the characters needed. There are only a few rehearsals to get the entire piece competition ready.

(There are only 5 rehearsals. If you cannot attend every single rehearsal please get Jaimee’s approval BEFORE registering)

REHEARSALS DURING THANKSGIVING BREAK

• MONDAY JANUARY 20th (MLK DAY) 10:00AM - 4:00PM

• SATURDAY JANUARY 25th 10:00AM - 4:00PM 

  • Pack a hearty peanut - free meal and a water bottle

• SUNDAY JANUARY 26th 10:00AM - 2:00PM

  • Pack a hearty peanut - free meal and a water bottle

SATURDAY FINAL REHEARSALS BEFORE COMPETITION

• WEDS FEB 5th 4-6pm (Join the JR Comp Rehearsal)

  • JR Comp and Showstopper will rehearse together, performing for each other before leaving for comp
    

PERFORMANCES / COMPETITIONS (Attendance is mandatory)

• Musical Theatre Competitions of America in Southern California Feb 6th - 9th/10th *You will already be there!

• Showcase Performance: Sunday February 23rd (Times TBA but please plan that it will take all day including rehearsal and performance) *You will already be there!

• Onstage NY Competition (Local) March 21st - 23rd (Time TBD block off the whole weekend) *If oy are in Teen Comp or Jr Comp you will already be there!
  

You may be asked to supply specific shoes and/or basics such as plain leggings or tank tops. All costumes will be provided by Starlight
