BIG NOTE ABOUT LOCATION:

Our original intention was to have our new Performing Arts Center open and ready for classes in time for camp! Unfortunately, due to construction delays outside of our control we still have to wait a little longer for that but NOT TO WORRY! We are still ready for an amazing Summer, we are still in Downtown Pleasant Hill, just down the block.  Our amazing landlords have set us up at 15 Crescent Drive for the summer (You may know this as the former Bed Bath and Beyond, in the same parking lot as Michaels).  We are turning it into our own personal performing arts playground this summer! We have tons of space, a full stage set up, dance floors, mirrors and everything! It’s going to be a fun summer adventure!!

Summer Dance Intensives 2026

 

Afternoon Dance intensive Camp

4pm-5pm

All skill levels are welcome but be prepared to work hard! Over the course of a week-long session, each student will learn vital dance technique in multiple styles with experienced instructors.

*Members of the 2026-2027 season Dance Team are required to enroll in at least one session

Tuition: $399

Session 1: June 8th - June 12th

Session 2: June 15th - June 19th

Session 3: July 6th - July 10th

Session 4: July 13th - July 17th

What to Wear

Clothing for Rehearsal: Please wear anything you can comfortably move in. Leotards, leggings, dance pants, etc. No jeans, denim shorts, or baggy clothing please. 

Hair: Please keep hair cleanly pulled back into a high ponytail or bun if it is long enough to do so. 

Shoes: Black jazz shoes are required.

Note: Dance shoes, dance attire and hair ties are all available for sale in our lobby. You can pre-order them through our website here and they will be waiting for you at the front desk or you can walk in and purchase any time we have classes or camps running. The Studio will be open each weekday for last minute purchases as well!!

What to Pack

A water bottle with student’s name on it that doesn’t spill easily

A snack (no peanuts or glass)

A Lunch if you are also doing both camps (no peanuts or glass)

Drop Off/Pick Up

Please be timely in dropping off and picking up your child.  Please drop off no more than 10 minutes before class starts and please pick up on time. Thank you!

OUR MISSION STATEMENT 

Starlight Studios is an ALL INCLUSIVE SPACE where children and adults of all ages, races, genders, sexualities, abilities, and special needs, can feel safe and welcome.  We believe that everyone should feel empowered and beautiful when they dance, that children should never have to wear bikinis on stage, and that music can be age appropriate and fun.

Starlight has officially moved out of our original studio space on Alhambra Ave in Martinez. While our new Performing Arts Center is still under construction, our amazing landlords have set us up at 15 Crescent Drive in Downtown Pleasant Hill .

Our staff has worked incredibly hard to turn this temporary space into a performer’s dream! With even more space then our original studio, 15 Crescent has three full time dance studios/rehearsal rooms and a cushy indoor lobby. Both of our dance studios are outfitted with Marley floors and mirrors and our third rehearsal room has a full stage! We will start our Fall Season at this space and then hopefully be ready to move over to our new home later this Fall!!
