Hello families! Here’s everything you need to know for our Holiday Cabaret performances!

DRESS REHEARSAL SATURDAY 12/20

At Starlight Performing Arts Center, 115 Crescent Dr., Pleasant Hill

  • 10:30-11am: MISS BAILEY’S SATURDAY PRINCESS BALLET/TAP

  • 10:30-11am: MISS GEMMA’S TUESDAY 3-5 HIP HOP REHEARSAL

  • 11am-1pm: ALL PERFORMING RECREATIONAL DANCE CLASSES DRESS REHEARSAL

  • 1pm: DANCE TEAM MEMBERS LUNCH BREAK

  • 1:30-2pm: LUNA REHEARSAL

  • 2-3pm: SUPERNOVA ENSEMBLE REHEARSAL

  • 3-5pm: ALL DANCE TEAMS REHEARSAL

  • 5-6pm: DANCE TEAM MEMBERS ONLY DANCE TEAM COMPETITION MEETING

Please arrive to dress rehearsal with hair and makeup done, wearing black pants and tank tops. We will pass out Holiday t-shirts to ALL dancers AT 11am, as 3-5s dancers are leaving and older dancers are arriving. Dancers are expected to put their holiday t-shirts on over their black basics for dress rehearsal. Please bring/wear any holiday accessories you plan to wear for your performances! Have fun with them, as long as they can be danced and performed in safely and easily. Please bring only a labeled water bottle and the dance shoes you need to perform.

PERFORMERS RECEIVE COMPLIMENTARY ENTRY TO THE FAIR! Family and friends much purchase tickets in order to attend. Our Holiday Cabaret performances are taking place DURING the Holiday Fair! There are multiple shows throughout the day, happening every hour, with each running approximately 45 minutes in length. The first show begins at 12:30pm, with our finale performance taking place at 4:30pm. Check ins for performances will take place 15 minutes before the start of each show at the STAGE DOOR sign inside the fair, located next to the backstage right curtain of the theater. All performers must stay in the backstage area of the theater during their performance block.

ATTIRE

  • BLACK PANTS (SLIM OR FITTED, NO FLARES PLEASE)

  • BLACK TANK TOP

  • HOLIDAY THEMED ACCESSORIES- Santa hats, fluffy scarves, tinsel, bows, holiday themed socks, etc. Anything of your own choosing that you can safely perform in!

  • DANCE SHOES- Black jazz shoes, tap shoes, hip hop sneakers, half soles, etc. Check with your teacher if you’re not sure which ones you need!

  • STARLIGHT HOLIDAY T-SHIRT ***Starlight provides***

  • HAIR- performers with medium to long length hair must wear their hair in a slicked down, clean low ponytail with a middle part. Performers with short hair- make sure it’s cleanly swept out of your face!

  • MAKEUP- MINIMUM: Blush, red lipstick/gloss, mascara. DANCE AND THEATRE TEAM MEMBERS: Full stage makeup is NOT required, but feel free to wear as much makeup as you like! DANCE TEAM MEMBERS: Please do a soft glam look including: Foundation, powder, eye shadow, blush, highlight, false lashes, and red lipstick. Your makeup can be holiday themed!

Please arrive to the fair READY TO PERFORM, with hair & makeup done, and Holiday shirts on. NOTE: THERE ARE NO DRESSING ROOMS AVAILABLE DURING THE FAIR. Due to the nature of this event, we cannot allow performers to use the bathrooms as dressing rooms or getting ready stations. Arrive at Starlight looking exactly as you will onstage! Please bring any dance shoes with you and put them on once inside Starlight.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT 

Starlight Studios is an ALL INCLUSIVE SPACE where children and adults of all ages, races, genders, sexualities, abilities, and special needs, can feel safe and welcome.  We believe that everyone should feel empowered and beautiful when they dance, that children should never have to wear bikinis on stage, and that music can be age appropriate and fun.

JOIN US AT 15 CRESCENT DRIVE for all classes this FALL!

Starlight has officially moved out of our original studio space on Alhambra Ave in Martinez. While our new Performing Arts Center is still under construction, our amazing landlords have set us up at 15 Crescent Drive in Downtown Pleasant Hill .

Our staff has worked incredibly hard to turn this temporary space into a performer’s dream! With even more space then our original studio, 15 Crescent has three full time dance studios/rehearsal rooms and a cushy indoor lobby. Both of our dance studios are outfitted with Marley floors and mirrors and our third rehearsal room has a full stage! We will start our Fall Season at this space and then hopefully be ready to move over to our new home later this Fall!!
